Return Policy

General returns


Returns made by customers due to customer error. You have 30 days from the delivery date of the product to request a return. Please call us or email us to request a return authorization. We will email you back with the return instructions. You will be responsible for the return shipping, we do NOT charge restocking fees. If a return is requested after 30 days from the delivered product(s), we will NOT be able to accept this return. If a product is installed, we will NOT be able to accept this return. All returns MUST be shipped back in their original packaging and with an authorization number from one of our representatives. Please call us, 888-505-1084 or email us to Sales@lightingmerchant.com to obtain a RGA number. 

To qualify for a general return, the item(s):

Must be requested within 30 days of delivery 

Must be in resalable condition

Must be free from scratches and/or defects

Must not have been installed (No clipped wires)

Must be in the original manufacturer’s box and packaging

Must not be missing pieces

Must not be furniture or paint

Defective/Damaged/Incorrect item shipped


Return of products that are defective due to defects in manufacturing, workmanship, and/or damaged products by shipping carrier are accepted for 30 days from the date of delivery. Fulfillment mistakes that we make resulting in the shipment of incorrect product to you will also be accepted for return 30 days from the date of delivery. Please call us 888-505-1084 or email us to Sales@Lightingmerchant.com to request return authorization, a replacement will be sent out, if a replacement is not being requested you will be responsible for the return shipping. If a replacement is being requested, we will send you a prepaid return label to send back the damaged/defective item. Please note, in most cases a replacement will be sent out before the defective/damaged/incorrect item is sent back. We do this because we understand the importance of resolving the issue and our main priority is a resolution. It is your responsibility to hold onto the defective/damaged/incorrect item until we provide you with either instructions to return (return shipping label) or until we give you written approval to dispose of the item. In circumstances when the item is required to be sent back, we will provide a return label to send back the item. If we have already shipped the replacement (free of charge) and you do not send back the item which we provided a prepaid shipping label for, you are authorizing Lightingmerchant.com to charge you for the replacement item, until the defective item is returned. If you were charged for the replacement because you have not sent back the defective item, you will be issued a credit once the damaged/defective item is returned.


If you are not requesting a replacement, you will be responsible for the return shipping costs back to us.

If the damaged/defective/incorrect item sent was installed, we would not be able to accept the item back.

We try hard to satisfy every customer, and we understand circumstances where items may have been installed and the defect may have not been noticed until the installation occurred. We work diligently in resolving these issues for our customer and will resolve this type of return on a case by case basis. Each case is different and can not guarantee it will be resolved, but we give our promise to work as hard as possible to make our customer satisfied.



Refunds are processed within 5 - 10 days from receiving the returned product back at our location. Once your product is delivered, it will be inspected by our warehouse and a refund is issued back to your card. Refunds are only able to be issued back to the same credit card used to purchase the items.

Made To Order

Made to order items are non returnable. You will not be able to cancel or return a made to order item. You will be emailed if a made to order item is purchased and you will be asked to approve (in writing) that you are aware that the item you are about to purchase is made to order.
